Protect Your Skin with Altruist’s Superior 5Star UVA SPF

Amazon is selling a suncream created by consultant dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon Dr Andrew Birnie. It is designed to provide “optimum protection against the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB radiation, exceeding EU standards.” This suncream is also rich in vitamin E, which prevents damage to your cells from UV-induced free radicals and reactive oxygen species. This helps reduce the risk of skin cancer and premature skin ageing.

What are the benefits of Altruist’s Superior 5Star UVA SPF?

  • Non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores
  • Fragrance and Paraben Free
  • Water Resistant
  • Suitable for all Skin Types
  • Broad-spectrum SPF30 protection with 5 star ultra-UVA rating (PPD 39)
  • Fast-absorbing, non-sticky, feels like a Moisturiser
  • Enriched with Vitamin E
  • Safe for Children (2+ Years)

The Altruist Dermatologist Sunscreen Fluid Superior 5star UVA Face Protection SPF is a moisturising antioxidant facial sunscreen that contains “high quality, broad-spectrum SPF30 protection with five star ultra-UVA rating”. Its “hypoallergenic”, “fast absorbing” and “non-sticky” formula is created especially for sensitive skin to help reduce the risk of skin cancer and premature skin-ageing.

Developed by a dermatologist

The suncream was developed by Dr Andrew Birnie, a UK skin cancer specialist, and leading EU scientist. As it has been dermatologically and clinically tested, it is also “acne-prone and sensitive skin friendly”.

What have shoppers said?

  • One shopper said: “Great value for money! I have very sensitive skin and this is one of the few face sunscreens that I don’t react to. It gives good protection and has a nice texture to it.”
  • A customer called Becca added: “This stuff is amazing. We were originally recommended this brand by an NHS dermatologist for my son’s sensitive skin so I thought I’d give the face fluid a go. It’s the only sunscreen that doesn’t sting (at all!!!) my very sensitive skin or make any red areas even worse.”
  • Another shopper said: “This is an excellent product that leaves no white cast when applied to the skin. I have been using this for the last year and I have even bought this sunscreen for my family members and relatives.”

However, some people weren’t as impressed. Some shoppers reported issues with the product, such as the tinted version not being suitable for their skin tone and the sunscreen “pilling” on their skin.
